Bugzilla – Bug 13029
kdebase doesn't build kompmgr
Last modified: 2007-03-31 02:21:34 UTC
It's needed for kde to use the composite extensions. I'm using xorg-modular. I've got the composite stuff enabled and set up right, but I have no kompmgr
gaze -q compile kdebase | grep -i composite finds it here, but there is no mention of komp - it makes the Makefiles, but the all target doesn't do anything. libxfixes and libxdamage is needed too. Do you have them? I don't have the damage one, will try with that. $ kompmgr kompmgr: error while loading shared libraries: libXdamage.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Yes indeed! $ gf bin/kompmgr kdebase-3.5.0:/usr/bin/kompmgr kdebase-3.5.1:/usr/bin/kompmgr So i seem to have it from my monolithical days.
Sweet. I didn't have libxdamage, casting and then recasting kdebase :) Thanks

This is only filed against test grimoire. Does it also affect stable and stable-rc?
-rc as per the flags?
self-propagated fix.
