Bugzilla – Bug 13066
RFI: mpg123 and mpg321
Last modified: 2007-04-01 02:02:43 UTC
I made a new spell for the new mpg123 release (by myself;-) under LGPL and thus not in z-rejected anymore. At the same time, I changed mpg321 not to install a mpg123 symlink anymore but still made both spells conflicting to avoid mpg321 dispels removing mpg123 binary. The conflict should be able to be removed after some relase cycles - or someone finds a more proper solution for mpg123 to reclaim its file. So, I am requesting the following changes to be integrated to stable: commit for mpg123: bba9dda6dec67162e1851bd94f32abc09b2ba613 commit for mpg321: a08b73127c99cef950326048db5542c1e364b698 Furthermore, one should consider dropping mpg123 spell from z-rejected whith the new one being in stable.
After getting the hint about the recently updated spell in z-rejected and realizing that there apparently is not need to separate a new spell, I removed the mpg123 spell in test and applied my additional changes to the one in z-rejected commit 9c37bf6315b34873c939fd6f3143be82a16f869a So the request is now about integrating from z-rejected into test,stable,stable-rc. The request about integrating the mpg321 change in the same go is still standing, though.
To distinct the new choices of my additions to the z-rejected spell, I added a patchlevel in DETAILS: commit 9a9e26871f31067bb84d0d61f98739dacbcbf42d
Ok, after the hint by ruskie taht you cannot request stuff from z-rejected to be integrated, I copied the new mpg123 spell to test grimoire: commit 879fa338d1793424232a0fc6c56a9457996e660a Sorry for all that confusion... So now it is the request for the two single commits in test grimoire: commit for mpg321: a08b73127c99cef950326048db5542c1e364b698 commit for mpg123: 879fa338d1793424232a0fc6c56a9457996e660a
you had them reversed. Integrated - closing.
